Projects with great sensitivity to soil behavior increasingly rely on sophisticated testing programs. Examples include bridges, dams, power plants, mines, levees, offshore platforms, and tunnels.
All of Fugro Consultants’ branch offices are equipped to perform soils testing for projects within its geographic area. Beyond that, Fugro operates an advanced laboratory operation in Houston. This facility is one of the largest private geotechnical laboratories in North America. Soil samples from onshore and offshore projects around the world are sent to the Houston laboratory for intricate analyses.
Our advanced testing services can be performed to mimic the effect of cyclic loads such as those produced by wave action, wind and earthquakes. Special protocols such as temperature and humidity controlled sample storage are also available to provide quality assurance throughout the testing process.
