Geologic assessments form the basis of evaluating potential effects of landslides, earthquakes, and soil/rock conditions on dams and levees; public works facilities; residential, commercial and industrial buildings; ports and harbors; transportation systems; and energy facilities. Fugro Consultants’ geologists specialize in data acquisition, consulting services, geologic hazards risk assessment, and mitigation.
We begin with a review of geologic documents, air photos, and remote imagery. Seismic data, both 2D/3D, is collected and incorporated into the geologic model, along with data from test pits, borings, and CPT soundings. Geologic profiles and soil/rock material and groundwater characterizations are integrated into the assessment.
